Edward S. Morris, 84, of Pawtucket, passed away on September 29th, 2023. He was the son of the late John and Eunice (Gill) Morris.

Edward began working for the McClean Trucking of Pawtucket and later became a U.S Letter Carrier in Riverside, RI for many years. After proudly serving in the US Airforce, He was a chaplin and former commander of The American Legion Post 14 in Cumberland, RI. He received an excellence in community service award for placing flags on graves of veterans throughout the state of Rhode Island for more than 30 years.

He is survived by a son, Joe Morris, and his very special, granddaughter Kianna. Edward is predeceased by his siblings Gerald, Daniel, Raymond, Paul, and Mary. He also leaves behind his loving companion Connie.

His funeral will begin Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at St. Teresa of the Child Jesus Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket at 10am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the R.I Veterans Cemetery, Exeter RI. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, October 3rd from 5pm-7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island, osdri.org.
